I got the printer all squared away for the AEC print run that will go into distribution. It took longer than I expected, but these things always do. Look for a release of the AEC into your local hobby store sometime in May!
Just softcover for now. It's hard to find a short run printer that can do an economical hardcover. If enough people were interested I could probably to a short run based on preorders, but not for distribution at this point.
Congratulations, Dan! It's really encouraging to see LL reaching stores through the distribution chain.
I might have a printer contact for you. The quotes I've gotten recently, for hardcover rulebooks, are pretty reasonable, even considering their page count.

Excellent!
That's great to hear!
Awesome news!
Can't wait to buy it!
Great news! Are these softcover only? Or will hardbacks be in distribution?

Bummer. That's sort of what I figured.
Still great news to see the AEC in distro, though. Will buy the first copy I see in a store.
Terrific!
Great! I'm hoping this will make it's way over the Atlantic as the Core Rules did.
